Some eBook sellers will make the argument that eBooks should cost more, because you don’t have to wait for the book in the mail or go all the way to the store to get it. It’s instant gratification!
We disagree. One of the great things about eBooks is there’s very little overhead. We don’t have to traditionally print our books, ship them to booksellers, stock them, etc. The average trade paperback costs $9.99 nowadays, so we like to pass our eBook savings on to the reader, and our pricing reflects that:

eBook Rules Are Different
An eBook isn’t quite like a “print” book. Once you pay for a print book, you can pretty much do what you want with it—sell it, give it away, burn it, whatever!
With eBooks, though, the rules are a little different. You’re not allowed to copy, sell, or share an eBook. (You could burn it, but I wouldn’t recommend that! Not good for the environment—or your laptop!)
eBooks are non-transferable. Sort of like airline tickets—you’ve got a one way ticket to ride, but it’s gonna be a great trip!
Reading eBooks
If you buy your book from eXcessica, you will have a choice of .PDF or .html format.
Adobe Acrobat (.PDF)
This is a free program for your computer or PDA you can download from adobe.com. This format is the most popular, it can be read from your computer screen or imported to a Palm or Pocket PC and can even be printed.
HTML
This format can be read from your computer using your browser and can be used to convert to your favorite ebook reader’s required format. It can be opened by a word processing program for printing.
FREE E-BOOK READERS
Microsoft Reader
You can download this free reader from microsoft.com/reader. There is, however, no printing allowed with this format.
Mobipocket
This is a free program designed specifically for PDAs that also has an interface which allows for on-computer reading. You can download it for free at mobipocket.com. Printing isn’t allowed.
